Doesn’t count stairs… I was excited about so many things regarding the Alta. I misplaced my Charge, and when I went to replace it, I discovered the Alta. I love the sleeker design, but I was most thrilled by the ability to change bands to match my clothes and jewelry. It wasn’t until after I used it for a few days that I realized there is no altimeter and therefore, it does not count stairs. I really rely on the fitbit to motivate me to make better choices, and I have the option about 15 times a day to climb 3…

Awful design all around This was a massive disappointment. I’ve used a FitBit One for years, and when it died, I thought I was upgrading to something better. But after a few frustrating days, I’m returning this. The biggest issue is the display double and single tap functions: they seldom work as expected. I’ve tried all the tips and tricks found here and all over the web: tap the screen, tap the band, tap this fast, tap this slow; this is not rocket science! Usually you’ll tap tap-tap, tap-tap, tap-tap, etc etc etc…

Really bad Fitbit customer service and charging cable breaks often First – the charger broke 2x since i bought it (18 months). Second, this is the fiasco I had to deal with calling Fitbit support this morning (: I had a very very disappointing experience with Fitbit today. My Alta is out of warranty (1 year) and I had an issue with my charging cable (initially i had another issue where it broke after a few months). They would not send me a new charging cable, so I was going to file a claim with my insurance provider who needs my serial number. I couldn’t…
